Rose of Sharon or Althea is a flowering multi-trunk shrub. It’s hardy and easy to grow. Often seen around older residences, this flowering shrub has been reinvigorated by a variety of new cultivars. Flowers bloom from June to September. It is prudent to remove old branches in the winter to encourage summer flowering.
