Walker Nursery Dogwood Milky Way

The ‘Milky Way’ is a beautiful variety of the kousa dogwoods. It differentiates itself by flowering a large quantity of creamy white blooms in early summer and produces bright red, edible, berries in the fall. It is said that the cultivar got its name because the flowers in bloom emulate the billions of stars in the milky way galaxy clustering, swirling, and appearing in abundance, and this is definitely what we have seen from it here at the nursery. 

Best grown in humusy, organically rich, medium moisture, acidic to neutral, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Performs well in sandy loams. Appreciates consistent moisture during hot summers.
