Pandy’s Garden Center Nursery Hinoki Cypress – Split Rock

Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Split Rock’ is a broadly conical small tree form of Hinoki cypress with dense structure and very Blue foliage that grows as a combination of mature and juvenile type. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4 feet (1.3 m) tall and 3 feet (1 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 5 inches (10 – 12.5 cm). It makes for an interesting subject for a mixed conifer border in sun or partial shade.
