Pandy’s Garden Center Lilac – Charles Joly Red Fragrant

This medium-size shrub has an upright, open-branched habit and bright green foliage. Gorgeous, deep wine red, double flower clusters are highly fragrant. Blooms mid-season, typically in mid-May. Thrives in cool summer climates. A lovely spring accent, screen or border specimen. Deciduous.

Thrives in well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soils. Needs good air circulation. Water deeply, regularly in the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency; increase frequency again before and during spring bloom period. Fertilize in early spring. Prune after flowering.
