A deep red deciduous azalea, with slightly ruffled, compact flowers. The ball truss of 11-14 flowers are solid red, without spots, blotches, flags, or flares. Raised and introduced by Augie Kehr. Deciduous azaleas are probably the most striking flowering shrubs. Their colors are vivid and bright, and often have the shades that not many other azaleas and rhododendrons can offer.
